Description:
Arctodus simus may have once been Earth's largest mammalian, terrestrial carnivore.It stood about 1.80 m (5.9 ft) at the shoulder and may have weighed about 800 kg.
The short-faced bears belonged to a group of bears known as the running bears. Based upon on evidence Arctodus was carnivorous animal.
